WARRANTY

BC Racing coilovers have two years warranty. 

Warranty is dependent on proper installation and use of the set and it includes all manufacturing defects and mechanical problems.

All competitive use is excluded. 

INSTALLATION

Alustasarjan Installing coilovers professionally and as documented ensures it functioning as designed and prevents problems. Warranty does not cover for example dampers that are bottomed out due to incorrect installation. More info about installing BC Racing coilovers here.

WARRANTY

If there is a problem, go through the list of most common issues. If the problem persists and warranty is in effect, fill out the warranty form as thoroughly as possible. This way you will ensure fast and effortless handling.

MOST COMMON PROBLEMS AND HOW TO SOLVE THEM

- Ensure that the damper top nut is fixed and tight. You can tighten this nut by first removing damper adjustment knob (14mm or 17mm) with a wrench. After that tighten the top nut (17mm or 21mm wrench) by holding the damper with a 6mm allen key or using bolt gun with low torque. Using too much torque can snap the damper shaft. 

- Ensure that all of the fixings are tight. These include lower mount bolts, top mount bolts, sway bar bolts, arm bolts, brake line fittings and all the lock rings on the damper. 

- Check that spring pretension is as planned. Good starting point is using 4mm pretension if there is no need for other settings.

- Ensure that bushings are not under tension. With wheels on the groud, undo and tighten all arm bolts and nut. Tensioned bushings can cause creaking but also clonking.

- Very often the problem is not in the actual coilover setup or parts of it but somewhere else in the car and the noise just appears to be from the dampers. Ensure that control arms, swaybars, bushings, fixings etc are in good condition.
